Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto'o went to the players' dressing room after being eliminated from the AFCON2025 tournament by Morocco and then told his players:
"I see your faces full of sadness, and I'm also trying not to ask them "We just lost on the field, and that's the truth. There may be other factors that contributed, and they may be serious, but this is football. That's why I don't want to hear unbecoming statements from you players or the coaching staff.
"Once we get out of here, we should know that we have lost with a great courage that even Cameroonians know. You gave it your all until the last minute. You defended the Cameroon jersey with honor. Elimination hurts, but it has never brought down champions.
We will learn from this and come back stronger, more aggressive, and more hungry for victory. “The next championship is ours - take my word for it. From now on, we must start preparing for it".
