MANCHESTER CITY HAVE SIGNED ANTONIO SEMENYO.

Manchester City have signed Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, bolstering their attack as they battle for the Premier League and Champions League.

Semenyo, who has scored 10 goals and is one of the most prolific strikers in English football this season, has joined City on a five-and-a-half-year deal worth a reported £65m.

Semenyo is expected to provide competition for City's other wingers, including Jeremy Doku, Omar Marmoush Savinho and Oscar Bobb.

Savinho and Bobb are both injured, while Marmoush, who is currently playing for his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, has been a minor priority this season.

Semenyo, 26, was previously linked with a move to Manchester United or Liverpool but has instead opted for the Etihad. He has played for Bournemouth for two and a half seasons after joining the club from second-tier Bristol City.

‎‎"I still have a long way to go to improve myself," Semenyo said in a statement, "so playing for this club, at my current level, is a great feeling," said Semenyo.
