LUMUMBA’ FAN MEETS WITH ALGERIA TEAM

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has invited DR Congo fan Kuka Muladinga, popularly known as “Lumumba”, to the Algerian national team hotel following a huge row after Mohamed Amoura imitated the fan after a match.

Muladinga rose to fame during the AFCON for his homage to the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Patrice Lumumba.

At the meeting held on Wednesday, Mohamed Amoura presented Muladinga with his jersey, along with a special jersey with the name ‘Lumumba’ written on it, as a sign of respect and to restore good relations between the two sides.

Algeria eliminated DR Congo in the last 16 of the tournament after scoring the winning goal in the 119th minute on Tuesday. The incident prompted Amoura’s action, who later issued a formal apology via social media for his actions.
